Ryszard Florek honoured with the Medal of Poland’s 100th Independence Anniversary

Ryszard Florek, President and co-founder of FAKRO, a leading manufacturer of roof windows, has been awarded the Medal of Poland’s 100th Independence Anniversary for his business achievements. Medals were handed on behalf of the Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki by Jadwiga Emilewicz, Minister of Entrepreneurship and Technology.

“I find receiving this medal as a great honour and distinction. This ceremony shows huge impact of domestic companies on our wealth and the position of Poland in the economic world championships,” – commented by Ryszard Florek, President of FAKRO. “We need strong Polish companies and to accomplish this goal, social capital is essential. The entire society, not only entrepreneurs and politicians, but also officials, judges, teachers, journalists, employees and consumers, must take responsibility for the country’s economic development.  Often, to change a lot, one does not need new regulations, but a mental breakthrough, and above all, getting rid of envy as well as to take care of Polish domestic companies as it is in the interest of everyone,” he added.

“You are the heroes of our freedom and our economic success (…). Thanks to entrepreneurs, we are today the second fastest growing economy in Europe,” commented by Jadwiga Emilewicz during the medal ceremony.

The ceremony was held on the occasion of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining independence. Medals in recognition of merits for the development of the Polish economy were awarded to representatives of such companies as Adamed, Comarch, Forte, Drutex, Cedrob, CCC, Maspex or Ziaja. The award was also given to Roman Kluska, the founder of Optimus, who comes from Nowy Sącz and currently runs the Real Food company.
