Another Gold Medal for FAKRO Innovative Product

Innovative research and development activities by FAKRO once again resulted in the Gold Medal of the International Trade Fair BUDMA. This prestigious award was granted to the type F flat roof window.

The type F flat roof window guarantees perfect illumination of the room under the flat roof. The product is characterized with large glazing area and excellent thermal insulation parameters, while its design fits perfectly with modern architecture of the building.

Innovative glazing unit is manufactured with the use of the latest technologies, thus ensuring high durability of the window and impeccable aesthetics. The window type F is equipped with an energy-efficient, triple DU6 glazing unit with external pane toughened while the internal laminated and anti-burglary P2A class. Innovative glazing unit makes the windows (DU8, heat transmittance coefficient U=0.76 W/m²K, as per 12567-2) suitable for passive buildings.

In addition to standard sizes, the D_F windows can be easily manufactured in any size (in the range of 60x60 – 120x220cm). It allows for easy replacement of an old and inefficient skylights. What is more, the product is available in three versions: DEF – electrically opened, DMF – manually opened with the use of a control rod and DXF – non-opening. Electrically opened DEF window is equipped with a rain sensor that automatically causes the sash to close when the first drops of rain appear.

Gold Medal of the International Trade Fair held in Poznań is one of the most recognizable awards in the Polish market. It is granted to innovative products of the highest quality by a group of outstanding professionals representing various sectors of the construction industry. Chairman of the competition Jury is Doctor Habilitatus, Professor of Engineering, Józef Jasiczak from Poznań University of Technology, author of many thesis, monographs, books and academic textbooks.
The award ceremony will be held in Poznań during the International Trade Fair BUDMA 2014.
